Summer Plans!

I was absolutely thrilled with joy when I heard about the rafting plan with my family. Since half of my vacations had just gone by lazing around on my bean bag watching movies, I was totally counting on this excursion to be the most exhilarating day of this summer. To my surprise, my father had already gathered handsome information about rafting, which was a bonus for someone like me who did not even know the A…b…c... of it. Therefore, my siblings and I were eagerly waiting for this audacious experience.

Tick! Tock! Tick! Tock! Tringggggggggggggggggggggggggggggggg!
“Arfa!!! You’re alarm is ringing for the 100th time for crying out loud, wake up! Just 15minutes are left for the Sehri time to end. Do I have to drag you out of bed or what? “
Arfa peeps out of the pillow kept over her head and says,
“Okay fine I’m coming to the dining but can you please stop screaming? It’s hurting my ears mom.”
I shout even louder this time, “And can you stop being thankless for once and get to the dining room immediately!!”
Arfa finally drags herself to the table with eyes half closed. She slowly pours the water in to her glass, takes a sip and…
“There you again….” (Arfa falls asleep while sitting). I start to talk in an irritated tone because I am tired of yelling early in the morning. I shake her up and say, “Wake up! Either you eat or you stop whining all day that you’re hungry and almost fainting. Only 5 minutes are remaining.”
She wakes up in a shock, “What!! Oh my god! How will I eat so much in just 5minutes?” quickly grabbing a glass of milk, cheese on bread, boiled egg and almost drinking the cereal. “Eeekkk! The egg is half-boiled. I can’t eat this. Why do you forget to boil it completely always? And touch the bread it’s so cold.”
I turn red with anger, “Gosh! You have the guts to say all that after waking up 5 minutes before the Sehri time is to end. I’m not you’re servant. If you can’t get up and make breakfast for yourself then at least appreciate what I’ve done for you. If even that’s not possible for you then please keep your mouth shut, eat, pray and go back to sleep!”
The Sehri time ends and she quietly leaves the table. I start mumbling to myself. This is the way it should be...I wake up before everyone else to prepare the breakfast and this is what I get to hear at the end of the day. How can people be so thankless? On top of that she has left the table without even keeping her dishes in the washbasin… cleaning them is something I don’t expect out of her at all. Yawn... I better wash the dishes, get back to bed quickly and get ready to face another day of turmoil.
